Server PC found!

Hi,

I’ve just dug up a quite dirty HP Proliant ML350e,which I’m going to clean.

To my surprise, I found out it was worth £1000, so £900-£800 used.

Is it OK to slap a graphics card in, and use it as a gaming rig?

Or is there anything other Setup (monitor, keyboard, mouse) to build with the £1300?

What is that a G8 or G8v2? Looks to have the first generation of the 2400 series so Sandy Bridge. Depending on the processor(s) installed you would most likely be better off with a desktop CPU, as most server processors trade off frequency for processing cores, but games prefer frequency. For example 4 Cores at 4Ghz would be better than 16 cores at 2Ghz for gaming.

It is G8. Judging by its value what do you think I could get out of it for 2 Pcs
