Your cpu isn't the question...bitcoin mining is based off of your video cards processing power...

better by far and has a rebate as well...and only single rail...much better.

All in all...server set up is good...but bitcoin mining says the gpu is 50-100 times more faster than a cpu...so hmmm maybe you should look there for the most efficient cards available...the link I posted for it is a comparison of the different gpus that work very well for bitcoin mining.

Minecraft. The game. With minecraft serving, you want a lot of RAM, and you'll want a better processor, I would suggest switching to AMD and getting a phenom II x4 965. cheaper, tons more power. Also, minecraft serving is ver dependent on your internet connection. your connection can quickly bottleneck you, even with the best hardware.
