Question servERAIDM1215 HDD supported ?

Hi all,

Is anyone here can give me information , if Raid Controller ServeRaidM1215 can detect HDD SATA for notebook ?
i have system x3650 M5 Server with Raid Controller ServeRaidM1215, and i want to add that server with 2 x 4TB Sata HDD ( HDD for notebook ) or SSD for notebook .

Please advice .

According to the product information, here, the controller does support SATA drives in SAT 3 and SATA 2 formats but the real question is what the make and model of your notebook harddrive is...? It should wok, for all intents and purposes.

It will not have an issue with those drives. I have similar 4tb drives running on an older M1015.
Please understand that this is a raid 0,1,or 10 card. While it is capable of raid 5 it is not even decent at R5. Get another controller if you are wanting Raid5 or 6.

Edit - please make sure that you can actually install the laptop drives into your system, you may need adapters to mount them in 3.5" drive bays.
