service pack 2 crashes my machine

Never worked. After I install. I get multiple messages like this:

The instruction at "0x1002ff64" refernced at memory at "0x1002ff64". The
mem. could not be "written".

Once I reboot I have to "ASR"--I get the 'ol blue screen.

Uninstall Service Pack 2 from Add or Remove Programs and consult the
