Is there any benefit to keeping the directory (and contents) of
'c:\windows\servicepackfiles' ?
It looks like a remnant of Service Pack 2.

Fred;
If your computer never has a problem, you will never miss it.
BUT if there are problems, those are the files updated by SP-2 used by sfc
/scannow.
Without that file, you may need to reinstall SP-2 instead of the quick fix.
