Set 3.7 Ghz turbo boost to default speed i5 4590

So there is no way i can force the cpu to be at 3.7ghz all the time?

I am aware of the K series.

But is heat the only problem, cause i have a decent noctua aftermarket cooling solution so im not really worried about that.

All i want is for it to be at turbo speed by default all the time

Then you should have bought a k series and overclock.

By having a decent cooler it will be at full turbo speed more often.

What you are actually saying that you want is a better processor than you brought. i.e. you want a 3.7 and not a 3.4.

Actually heat is not the only concern, load is the other concern, i.e it will go as fast as it can (up to 3.7) whilst it is cool enough and whilst the load demands it, when load drops off it will slow down, when temp climbs it will slow down.

If your BIOS has an option called Multicore Optimization or Multicore Enhancement, that will allow your CPU to run all 4 cores at the maximum Turbo Boost speed. Do keep an eye on your temperatures if you do this, as it could make things run too hot, especially if you are using the stock cooler. If your motherboard doesn't offer that option, then there's nothing you can really do, and you probably should have bought a 4690k if you wanted to get higher clockspeeds.
