This is possible
Right click speaker icon on taskbar and choose Playback devices.
Choose your headset, right click and choose set as default device.
If it has a microphone also choose set as default communication device.

Well... that's basically what I want the computer do as soon I plugged in my headphone. I dun want to manually set it as default as It's a bit hassle.

When you disconnect the headset it will revert back to the previous speaker's settings.

When I plugged out my headphone, my headphone setting still shows. Wonder if it's due to different soundcards that causes this issue?
