Set Up New Device

Today, I went to a factory to clean it out and they had seven old computers!! I took two to tinker around with them, but I've run into an issue. It runs Windows XP. The original keyboard and mouse were thrown out and the computer says, "Set up a new device.",but the issue is that I simply can't. I don't have a keyboard or mouse to click on the screen with! I'm basically a sitting duck. Is there anything (I MEAN ANYTHING) I can do to use my keyboard and mouse?

plug the keyboard and mouse it. or do you mean they don't use the old ps/2 port?PS/2 port

My motherboard doesn't have any ps/2 ports. It only has USB ports. The Keyboard and mouse are both USB.

When I plug them in, XP says "Set up a new device", but I can't click set up new device because it's asking me to set up my mouse. So I'm basically a sitting duck.
