Question Set up second monitor, now experiencing mouse drag on both monitors

Jan 21, 2021
Hello, I just set my my second monitor and I'm experiencing a slight problem. I've been using a 75Hz LG gaming monitor which has been running smoothly up until now. I set up the second monitor (HP, 60Hz), updated drivers and restarted. However, I am now experiencing slight mouse drag and sometimes video lag (minor). All in all its not too much of a problem, except it is a big problem when it comes to the games I play. I am only using my second monitor for browsing/ multitasking so I don't mind it at all there, but I really need to fix it to play shooters like counter strikes on my main monitor. I've tried setting both monitors to 60Hz to see if they needed to match, but it makes no difference compared to having my main one on 75Hz. I do not know if my main monitor is just bottlenecked to 60Hz somehow, but I don't think I should be experiencing this drag on even 60. I know many people have dual monitors with different refresh rates so I don't understand where the problem lays.

to have a look what the problem could be:
run and post the http link of your result, e.g.

Reset the BIOS by jumper clrCMOS or JBAT or similar (eventually you will have to set the boot priority correctly after that)

check windows integrity
open the command prompt as administrator and type DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

clean boot

check the memory by running usb autoinstaller (bootable USB flash drive)

check the hard drive for errors with its manufacturer´s tool
