I am upgrading my old PC.

My motherboard is an ASRock Z68 Extreme 4,
having 2 X 2 GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600 (https://www.comx.co.za/CMP4GX3M2A1600C9-specifications-53062.htm).
Now i bought a 2 X 8 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 (https://www.comx.co.za/CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10-specifications-53059.htm)

When i installed the 2 Corsair Vengeance my PC shut down 3 seconds after turning it up and repeat (loop).
I took up the 2 old Dominator and leaved the 2 new Vengeance and PC turned on normally.

I installed the 2 old Dominator again and PC shut down and turn up repeating the cycle 3 times and system booted normally.

Now i have what i wanted, 20 GB of memory.
But now i wanna set the timing and frequency. Dominator is 9-9-9-24 (1.65 V) and Vengeance 10-10-10-27 (1.5 V).
I know that less timing is better so i set it up 9-9-9-24 at 1.5v. PC now is lag and XMP Profile recommend to set it 6-10-10-27 at 1.4 V.

Any suggestion on setting the timing and voltage?

Solution
Well both kits are different so it might be hard setting it up.
I would try 10-10-10-27 at 1.65v.
9-9-9-24 at 1.5v isn't going to work since the Dominator kit is rated at that speed at 1.65v.
You may even need to increase the IMC voltage to get it stable.

Any reason for running both kits? You would fine, and better off, running the 16GB kit alone.

Solution
I am running both kit because the 2 X 2GB still working so i don't want to take it off.
I set the timing 10-10-10-27 at 1.605 V and 1600 MHz and now is working pretty well.

Thanks for the advice
