[SOLVED] Setting gpu idle fan speed from default 40% to 55%

Hello,
I am currently using a Zotac gtx 1060 3gb mini that i have for nearly 3 years, unfortunately the fan now makes a rattling noise a lower fan speeds ( below 54% speed), anything above 55% fan speed resulted in no noise, I was wondering whether i could change the fan curve using msi afterburner so that the minimum fan speed would not be below 55%, would that further damage the fan? Or should i just send the card for repair again ( ps this actually happen before about a year ago and I have already sent it for repair using my warranty, this is the second time happening).

You can definitely change the curve to set a minimum of 55%. Will that further damage it? Hard to say, and it may even prolong the fan's life becuase the current instability may lessen the life. If it's still under warranty tho, you may want to get the fan replaced.
