Setting laptop audio to play through USB port?

Long story short, I have a DAC that has a USB B input. Is there any way to use a USB A to USB B cable and set my audio to play through that? Running Windows 8 btw.

Plug in the dac and turn it on and right click on the speaker in the bottom right corner of your screen. Go to play back devices. From there select the DAC from the list and click set default.
