Hi everyone,

Just got myself a new rig and need a little bit of help finishing up the setup.

I have a Gigabyte 970-DS3 Motherboard with 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance 1866MHZ and was hoping someone could guide me through the BIOS setup to utilise their full potential.

Thank you

You had DDR3-1866 operation and must configure the right timings - timings that will work at stable settings. You could start with 1866Mhz, 9-10-9-27 ( i don't know your timming that form corsair) 1.6V, ensuring that secondary timings are set properly, and possibly work your timings down to 9-9-9-24 or 9-8-9-24 if you're lucky. good luck

post your SS bios menu and SS CPu-z at RAM setting will more good .. i don't know your corsair ... orrr simple way you can try it ..
- under DRAM E.O.C.P select Profile 2. It set the ram at the 1866 speed and changed the voltage from 1.5v to 1.55 - 1.6v.
- or System Memory Clock set to 1866 and DRAM E.O.CP. disabled , Dram voltage set to 1.55 - 1.6 and in this section you need boot up and test it. if you get lucky
- and you must know clear cmos if tweak RAM .. wrong setting your system won't boot .. good luck
