Hey Guys, I'm new to the forums and wanted to ask a question that it seems nobody really has asked and something that has really been itching me. I would like to buy the Linksys WRT1900-AC and Motorola/Arris SBG6782-AC and being that the Motorola/Arris SBG6782-AC is an all in one device break down its components and use them in a different way. I Would like to bridge the modem inside of the Motorola/Arris SBG6782-AC to the Linksys WRT1900-AC and then use the router inside of the Motorola/Arris SBG6782-AC to repeat the signal allowing for one Network and allowing me to put to use all the hardware available in these devices. If anyone can go ahead and start me off telling me how to do so that would be great! Thanks, bye bye.

P.S. I will be putting DD-WRT On the Linksys WRT1900-AC when its officially released. I will also be using a WatchGuard FireBox T10 to guard my network with the latest Development of PFSENSE.

You can't the arris does not even have the ability to run in client-mode much less run in repeater mode. You would have to load dd-wrt on it but you there are no third party loads for any cable modem.

Still even if you could you want a repeater 1/2 between the main router and the end devices. If you have your linksys near the modem now your repeater is right on top of your other wireless signal.

You do not want to use a repeater unless you have no other options to provide signals. It causes massive degradation of the wireless signals. For 802.11ac it tends to degrade it even more since it is more dependent on multistream signals to get the speeds. It also pretty much makes the beam forming features useless.
