Setting up a LG 25UM57-P monitor?

Hi recently bought one of LG's widescreen monitors and I can't seem to get it too work with the HDMI cable that came with it. When I try and set the resolution in the PC settings it only goes up to 1920x1080 not the 2560x1080 the monitor needs. I really want help fixing this because it's distracting having two giant black bars on my screen or having the screen stretched out.

It seems your PC's graphics card may not have sufficient video RAM to support anything higher than 1920 x 1080.
