Setting up a new GPU's fan profile

I have a new EVGA GTX 970. By default it's really loud, in quiet mode it still gets very loud under load. I'm wondering what the best way would be to have the GPU under a full load and see the EVGA software at the same time so I can fine tune the fans?

Enable kboost in EVGA PRECISION

Forces the graphics card to run at 100% load.
