Hi to all. I hope someone could help me with this. I will be switching my connection from DSL to LTE and I will be purchasing the Huawei E5776 4G LTE which has the capability to share connection via wireless. My current setup is a DSL modem connected to my Asus RT-N13U. What I want to is that when I will get my Huawei LTE modem, i would still be able to use my ASUS router since it has a wider coverage and also other features that I want to use and also connect my PC on it via ethernet. How can I do this setup? How can I link my Asus wireless router with my new Huawei LTE modem which only do wireless connection? By the way, at the bottom of my Asus router there is a toggle switch that has AP, Router and Bridge and currently it is on bridge.

Att is one of the fastest I have ever seen but I suppose it depends on how good their LTE coverage is where you are. As long as it says LTE I seem to get at least 10m and most the time much more.

I would try to run directly against the huawei device. Putting the router near your PC is a waste. The key location would be about 1/2 between the 2 devices. The repeater needs to get very strong signal from the source and then retransmit it to the destination also with strong signal. The theory being is that the far device cannot contact the main router but it can see the device half way between. Because every packet must be received and retransmitted it greatly slows things down. If you can actually get signal from the...
You would have to set it to repeater mode. If you have any other option to get a LTE device that has ethernet or maybe a USB one that you can get a router to plug it into would be better. At the very best running as a repeater cuts your thoughput in half and it may be worse if you get any interference. Now as long as you LTE connection is not as fast a 1/2 your wireless it may not make a big difference. I know when it is in a good mood I can get LTE on ATT to run at 40m....just wish they did not charge do much per gig. When I have tested verizon or even metrocel (tmobile now) I get 20m constantly. So you want to make sure you can get wide channels to work..ie 150m so that when it degrades you are still faster than the LTE

Thanks for the reply. what would be the typical speed of at&t LTE? if i use it on a pocket wifi like Huawei then on tandem with my Asus router what speed could i get then? And for the interference if I position my pocket wifi say on my bedroom separated by just a wall and the router on the other side (because that's where my PC is) would that help in avoiding interference? I can connect though with the pocket itself but what i am concern is the speed that my PC and other people in the house that would connect on the router.

If you can actually get signal from the main device it may actually be better to live with a little less signal but not have the overhead of the repeating. The optimum place for the huawei will likely be a window nearest the cell tower.

Okay i see. Could you recommend an LTE that has ethernet connection out. My option is just really wireless internet. Modems that can be inserted with simcard so i can switch networks and output connection via ethernet just like other modems. thanks!
