Setting up printer wirelessly, won't connect

I just got a canon MX922 wireless multi printer. The setup wired or wireless won't connect. The PC can't see the printer with the USB cable connection (could the cable be at fault, it was working with the previous printer)...and then I setup the wireless modem OK with PW, but the printer connection fails when I finish WPS button method I put in the PW and just get connection failed. Any ideas? Bushy

PC: win7 64bit
Router: Telus - Actiontec v1000h
Printer: Canon MX922

Well problem solved, as a last try I did a cold boot, I shut down everything, router, printer, computer for 30 min. Plugged everything back together and Voila.... printer works like it is supposed to. Ha!
