Hello!
I need help! I am trying to set up a RAID 5 disk array to install Windows 2003 Server Enterprise on. But the last time I did this was 5 years ago, and I've forgotten how!
I have an ASUS PSWDG2 WS Pro main board and 4 500GB disks. Microsoft tells me I cannot install Windows on the RAID, but I did it in the past.
Now, Windows can only see 4 500GB disks, not the 1300GB array.
Can anyone tell me how to build the disk array BEFORE Windows is installed?

Solution
Set the SATA controller (ICH7R) to RAID mode and reboot. Then press Ctrl-I at POST and add the hard disks to a RAID 5. You'll need to load the Intel Matrix RAID drivers from a diskette to install Windows 2003 Server Enterprise.
Thank you for your comment.
I had to change a BIOS setting to accept RAID arrays. It's working now.
Thank you for your help and everyone else's!
