Setting up Ubiquiti 16 port POE switch

This will probably be a silly question to all of Tom's Aces, but here goes.
We recently replaced a Cisco 5 port switch with a Ubiquiti 16 port POE switch. If we connect the cables to the same ports will have any problems? That is, the cable in Cisco 1 goes into Ubi1, Cisco 2 to Ubi 2 etc. Or does it not really matter?

Does it matter? I assume a POE switch was purchased because there is a need to power POE devices, so it kinda matters now, it's no longer a plain-ole-vanilla switch anymore. Are u trying to quiz the I.T. guys?

Well, found out that it does not matter. The switch is smart enough to tell inbound signals from outbound. I did have to reset the switch to get it to behave, but now all is well.

on an unmanaged switch the ports do not matter.
