i want to setup LAN in my pc and laptop. Please advise the first step. Thanks.

Read the manual for your router (download the full version from maker's site) and see Windows Help. The Windows Networking Wizard does a reasonable job of guiding you and setting up the services required.

Remember to turn off the Windows (or other) firewalls while setting up.
