New PC build , trying to install OEM Windows 7 to my SSD via usb. However, I am stuck. I've looked at 12+ threads on this same issue, and have had no luck with their solutions.
Hardware connections should be solid. I've disconnected my HDD, leaving only SSD connected. Boot priority is USB, then SSD.
The computer boots up properly, and as I go into setup, I get stuck on the "Where do you want to install Windows" screen. This is where you can decide which partitions/disk you want to install Windows on.
In the drop down menus (new, format, etc.), after endless combinations, I get the same error: "Setup was unable to create a new system partition."
I've tried to switch the SSD from ACHI to IDE and vice versa, I've cleaned/formatted/partitioned the SSD through diskpart in cmd, I've tried switching the sata ports - nothing seems to be working.
Please help!
