This is a false statement. The only card in this review that has a higher clock than the FTW Evga is the Zotac.

EVGA 670 GTX FTW edition also uses the EVGA 680 PCB and cooling. It is better than any of the cards in this review. Not by a large margin but it just is. Not to mention high grade QC. I have only heard of Zotac from this and one other review site. I'm not sure how their stuff holds up but I haven't had any problems with EVGA.

[citation][nom]crateria[/nom]Gigabyte ftw lately imo. They've done great with the 670 and 680 from my experiences, really hope they keep it up.[/citation]

Actually, EVGA FTW :)

although palit's GTX 670 doesnt make the approval, i would certainly buy it for it's design and aesthethics....cool blue led lights and chinese writings, made me wonder if this is a Ming dynasty's ancient artifact!

dude, you need to do some more research. the evga uses a 680 pcb and cooling correct? the windforce 3x on the gigabyte uses the exact same pcb as a 680 and the exact same cooler that gigabyte uses for their 680 cards. and from what i know, the windforce 3x beats the 680 reference design by a large margin

the asus directcu2 top has a higher stock clock than the evga.

stock clocks dont really matter. what matters is how far you can boost. the asus cards can boost easily to 1200+mhz

the one that id truely get is the msi power edition. pretty much the best cooler out of al of thm

I thought this review was going to get updated, according to the author. I was hoping to see more software at least, if not any evga cards included.

Fairly basic review so I guess it is satisfactory though. I think hardwarecanucks probably have come up with a more suitable review by now though.

If you're planning to buy the overall winner (Gigabyte), Newegg has it for 10% off- making it $360, with free shipping! I got mine! Expires 10/18 -they don't secicy if that's at 12:01 AM or 11:59 PM, so don't wait. This makes the best card the cheapest.

Absolutely LOVE the Gigabyte OC. Best card I've ever used in a build(And it's what I do for a living)

Have mine overclocked to 1115Mhz constant core, 7.2Ghz VRam and it boosts core to 1280Mhz, all while staying under 64celcius full load with VSync off!!! Using a HAF 922 case with extra 200mm fans, core i5 3570k with Corsair H60 OC'd to 4.5Ghz and 8GB Vengeance Ram at 2Ghz. Also using Gigabyte's UD5h Z77 mobo, gen 3 PCI-E.

All around, completely amazing setup. Definitely the best all around 670, you guys nailed it on the head!

Also, for anyone considering upgrading cards, get this card instead of a 680 for sure! The two 680 systems I've built with almost identical specs only average about TWO to FIVE frames per second better than this 670, with all overclocked. So for $100-$150 cheaper you get 90-95% of the performance for 70-75% of the cost! A+

@ wakanabi I love my Gigabyte card too! I don't have mine clocked as high as yours- but only because I'm still not that knowledgeable about OC'ing, not stability issues. I'm using the Gigabyte OC GURU II program and just matched the settings HardOCP achieved during their review, since they used the same OC program and I just copied their results (1085 core, 1170 boost).

We have pretty similar systems (3570k 4.6Ghz w/ CM Hyper 212, Gigabyte Up4th, 16GB Vengeance ram @ 1947Ghz, Antec 902 case, SeaSonic X650 Gold)... only one game drives the card to 60 celcius, otherwise it stays around 50! My case fans are always set on low, too. This card is quiet, well built and a pleasure to look at. I'll have to do more research on OC'ing and see how much more performance I can get out of it, without wearing it out too fast.
