I built my first pc about a month ago and I'm having several issues that all seem to be GPU related:
1. Some steam games experience display freezing a few seconds after game launches (sound and game still runs, only the visuals freeze). I have then to force quite the game on Task manager. Popular solution on the web is to force the game to run on dx9 instead of dx11/12, which seems to fix the issue despite the image quality loss.
2. Premiere crashes while previewing footage when CUDA is enabled. I have to select "use mercury only" or something like that on the project settings.
3. OBS crashes/gives error when profile is set to NVENC (using VRAM to support CPU). I have to use x264.
I shouldn't need to have to go around these issues the way I am because I have a good enough GPU and I would like to take full advantage of its capacity.
PC SPECS:
- MSI GTX 1060 6GB OCV1
- Ryzen 5 1600
- Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB 2400MHz
- MSI B350 PC Mate
- SSD for Windows and software, HDD for storage
- BenQ GL2460, connected to GPU via DVI cable
- Windows 10 64-bit
PS: I have already done a clean driver installation and it doesn't fix the issue
