Can someone tell me why you get targeted while on some of the bluffs? I
thought it was part of the map until I noticed that it didn't happen a few
times (in which I gladly pecked off some enemy vehicles with the hellbender)

Its part of the map :)

There have been times that I thought I should've been triggering the
countdown and didn't, just chalked them up as rough determination
rules. Its just there to discourage hanging on top too long.

Yeah, my favorite is to get on the platform beside torlan tower and pick
people off right after they get into their vehicles or try to take out our
node, it's also rather fun taking out the turrets on their base while they
try to defend =)

It's nice taking out the mantas and people in one hit, especially when
they've walked all the way out from the base to try to take out our node.
