Can one use the command SFC scannow on windows 10 mounted on SSD? I was told this would damage the SSD, just like defragmentation will do. Any help is appreciated greatly. Thank you

Given running SFC & DISM to fix windows 10 is one of its better features compared to win 7, it would be a little silly of MS to design SFC in a way it damaged the most likely storage medium of Win 10 boot drives for foreseeable future.

While you are right that you running defrag on an ssd is not needed, win 10 does run it on 1 part of the ssd every month just to make sure the records of system restore are tidied up.
