Recently I posted a thread about upgrading my Dell 537S.

Currently I have a Radeon HD 8350 2GB DDR3. I would like a SFF GDDR5 1GB or 2GB graphics card that would work well with my Core 2 Extreme QX6700.

Thanks! :)

What do you do with the pc? What would be your budget for a gpu? Depending on the games you play it may not help, that cpu is almost 11 years old it may bottleneck a newer gpu like a gtx 1050 or rx 460, not sure haven't seen benchmarks with that cpu in a long while.

I don't need a GTX 1050 or RX 460, I know they will bottleneck the system. Maybe a GTX 700 series? GTX 750 Ti is one I found.

I plan to play games mostly from 2004-2012. Like CS:Go, Left 4 Dead 2/1,Half Life 2, Call of Duty games(MW1,MW2,MW3,Black Ops,etc).

I am playing these games at a 1080p resolution, and high if its possible. The Radeon HD 8350 2GB DDR3 ,I have, started to struggle on max settings with Half Life 2(High everything, AA x16,MSA x4,etc). It plays but I really would like to find a more capable GPU.

Well no point in getting a 750 ti unless you can find one very cheap. The 1050 is about the same price and I think the RX 460 is cheaper (at least in the US), both perfom better, Regardless of how much it will bottleneck I would still get the more powerful card if they are going for the same price.

Those games should be fine except for the newer cod games like black ops 3 and infinite warfare, they can be quite taxing, You should be able to max out the half life games with a newer gpu, close to max on csgo depending on what framerates you want, not sure about left 4 dead I would imagine it would do fine.

He needs a Low profile card. 750ti is your best bet at this time. Even if your Cpu bottlenecks it some it will be a huge upgrade to your 8350, Huge. Get a 750ti Low profile and enjoy your gaming.

??? If he already installed a QX6700 Extreme than he doesn't have the power left to run that 750ti. His power supply is maybe 320 watt. Unless he was able to find a true 400 watt 85% efficient power supply he is hosed.
