Wrong. Itaniums are great in a 64bit enviroment. Itaniums suck however at emulating 32bit. Big difference since they were using 64bit and 64bit programs that Itanium was design to work with.

Besides the newest Itanium has over 1billion transistors and a uber fast IMC.
