And the DAMN Install keeps crashing (MS issue, no reply from the dist. yet).

Same here, except i try to d/l from different mirror and it worked. Dunno why.

ION, you mean you downloaded the program from a different mirror and then the install worked ok? I had no problem downloading (I think I used Guru3D). MY problem was when I get towards the end of the install (long after downloading the file) and it gives me an MS SP1 error in the install shield.

Freakin' annoying, almost makes me wanna put Win2K back on my machine (to also reduce the issues with Morrowind and XP).

Well I'll try again later in the week.

Exactly. Seriously with NEW stuff it's great, with anything that came out suring the transition period it SUX! Morrowind Locks up a bit (and has with every system I've seen run it with XP Radeons, GFs, and Intergrated) freakin annoying. And my scanner/printer combo needed a whole new downlaod (40mb) to work with XP, everything else it was plug and play (I hate that crap!).
