I'm about to buy R7 370 and I'm pretty sure i'll handle it, but i'm really worried about my cpu - 2 duo E8400. Up till around of the end of 7th geneneration of consoles most of the games were playble, but on some cpu intensive games there could be some noticeable slowdowns. They were still playable though. So I'm really worried if that many newer games will be unplayable because of it. I plan to upgrade my CPU in the future but it'll be a while. And I'm really curious about SoM because of it's awesome innovation and how fun it is to play with it, especially with all of the good things I hear about it.

Huge thanks for any help provided!

New games pretty much need a quad core now, or at the very least a current i3, which has two very fast cores and hyperthreading. Old Core 2 era dual cores simply aren't up to the task anymore, no matter how high they are overclocked.
