Shadow of Mordor suddenly crashes

So i'm currently running a Palit Jetstream GTX 970 with an i5 4460. I overclocked it to +120 core clock and +500 memory clock with MSI Afterburner. I could play Shadow of Mordor at ultra settings fine for the entire 25 hours I have logged into the game but all of a sudden it keeps crashing after around 10 minutes of play. The only thing I've tweaked since I first started playing is the boot priority in the BIOS which I don't think should affect the game in any way. Nothing is overheating as well, GPU temps hover around 40-50C. I've also tested this overclock a lot on Unigine Valley without any problems. Anybody have any clue as to what the problem is?

Try putting the card to stock speeds and see if you still get crashes

It hasn't crashed again so far. Any idea why the overclock would be unstable all of a sudden?
