Shadowplay recording problems

when recording with shadowplay or action software it stops after 1:53 every time anyone know why that is?


system specs
Asus sabertooth 990FX R2.0
AMD FX 8320 eight core
32 gig ram
2TB hard drive
geforce gtx 770
windows 7 ultimate

well depending on the game, the file size will vary, but on windows 7 it has a limited recording file size (pretty sure it is 4gb)

huh?
I work with files up to 30 GB on Windows Vista so I don't see why 7 would be limited to 4 GB

Maybe with fat32 but ...
I doubt he is using that

it's due to shadowplay being in beta still, and has been stated on their site
"On Windows 7 or Windows Vista, ShadowPlay can record up to 10 minutes of video in Shadow Mode and up to 4GB (around 15 minutes) of video in Manual Mode."

as i said it is only 1:53 sec and nowhere near 4gb and the same thing happens in action when recording too

turn off shadow recording and only use manual. it will still cut the video into chunks of 4gb, but they should be 5-20 minutes long instead. if it is still only recording 1.53 seconds, then reinstall shadowplay, and get the most up to date version. another thing is to make sure that the file location is set up for videos, and that say your other software is encoding properly. try playing with the settings (i had the same problem with fraps, so i just stopped using it). also check to see if recording is funky with whatever game in particular you are trying to record

It seems that I can't record in 1080p seems to be fine in 720p thx all for helping me with this.
