Shall I go for this i54690 rig or this fx8320 rig?

Can anyone advise me on which build to get? Or perhaps make some fresh recommendations? This is my first build:)

A few of points.

- Id like to keep my budget at $900, but open to suggestions.

- My main uses will be for online gaming (I'd really like to be able to play games like GTAV, MGSV, Fallout 4, BF4 etc maxed out at 1080). And I will also be using it to run Sony Vegas to do some 4k video editing.

- I'm not really sure I'll be overclocking, But should I consider it? I'm a newb to PC gaming.

So there is Intel

CPU: i54690
GPU: R9270
MOBO: Asrock H97M - PRO4
RAM: GSkill Sniper 8GB
COOLER: Not needed?
SSD: Samsung 850EVO 250gb SSD
HDD: WD 1TB
PSU: EVGA 650W (Overkill?)
CASE: NZXT S340

= $1200 AUD

And then AMD

CPU: FX8320
GPU: R9270
MOBO: ASUS M5A97
RAM: GSkill Sniper 8GB
COOLER: Hyper 212 EVO
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250gb SSD
HDD: WD 1TB
PSU: EVGA 650W
CASE: NZXT S340

= $940 AUD

Thank you!

Are you looking for us to make you a build or are you saying choose between those two pre built pc's? Also both those builds don't have any optical drive bays.

If you think you can handle building your own pc.

Heres one for under $900 The cpu is not as great as the other one only 2 cores but it is overclockable. Also no ssd. Everything else is the same.

A Pentium g build for $900 is kind of nuts .

A good compromise IMO

This is by far the best build you can get for that money.

I opted out of the ssd's as they go over budget if the budget was higher then 900 i could offer a better graphics card the cpu is pretty darn good 8 cores @ 4.0ghz. Maybe even a full fleged ssd. The hybrid isn't bad but you only get 7-8 gigs of ssd space so install your web browser on that partition. Or any other task you use a lot to increase boot times. 370 4gb is a strange number but it should perform pretty well gl with the build.

Damn thats a pretty sweet deal. I've tweaked the build based on your suggestions. What do you think?

CPU: FX8320 (I've heard the price performance difference between this and the 8350 is not huge.)
MOBO: ASRock 970 Pro3 R2.0 ATX AM3+
RAM: GSkill Sniper 8GB
COOLER: Hyper 212 EVO
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 120gb SSD (Instead of 250gb)
HDD: WD 1TB
PSU: EVGA 650W
CASE: Deepcool TESSERACT BF ATX Mid Tower Case

That brings me to a total of $684.12! All I need now is a GPU:)

Really? I've heard good news from people who used an 8320 with this board, and they were over clocking, which is not on my agenda.

First of all that whole asrock suck at am3+ overclocking is completley unfounded. Amd makes great cards at an awesome value, saying they suck balls is stupid. Don't believe the hyperboyle that just because it has amd on it it's automatically an inferior product or that if it has intel or nvidia on it it automatically shoots unicorns out of its butt. Judge a graphics card by it's benchmark tests or apu for that matter or even a motherboard. Insinuating it's crappy because it's x brand is childish.
