Quite simply, I want to play the new Crysis 4 game on a 1x4k Tv at ultra settings everything maxed out. This is because i want to show off to my friends, and have a truly great system to be proud of.
I know the sort of PC i would like to have so runs along the lines of
Ivybridge E 6core, or Haswell E 8Core, want to overclock, i only want intel cpu, and nvidia gpu
Unsure what mobo's will be released for the new CPU's, but one with all the required features for the set up.
Maxwell GPU, with better than titan performance with im guessing Watercoolers. If needed SLI, unsure 2,3,4 what would be needed.
PCIe SSD. 32-64gb ram 2800mhz +
Everything based on performance nothing in aesthetics. So my question is would todays equipment be able to run crysis 4, or is it worth waiting for the new stuff?

If you want to play Crysis maxed out at 4k, you'll probably want to wait for Maxwell and Haswell-E. A pair of 780 Tis in SLI can barely handle Medium in Crysis 3 at 4k: http://www.anandtech.com/show/7492/the-geforce-gtx-780-ti-review/8

But if Maxwell can do the same performance at half the power, extrapolate that to the same power level and imagine the performance you can get. Granted, it's almost certainly not going to be like that, but the boost in performance with a stronger CPU may just be able to get what you want done.

And I would probably stick to 3-way SLI, it's just not worth it to get a 4th. Although, we'd have to see with Maxwell, maybe it will scale better.

All of that said, you may be waiting awhile for the top of the...

All of that said, you may be waiting awhile for the top of the line GPU, since the just now released their entry level Maxwell GPU.
