Here in the Tom's Hardware Community, we all love tech. We also love bargains. And Black Friday and Cyber Monday are some of the best days of the year to grab top tech for a bargain!

We know that our readers are some of the most savvy around, and that you'll know about some of the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals before anyone else. This thread is a place for everyone to share the best deals they find and save their fellow Tom's Community members lots and lots of money.

Please follow these guidelines when posting:

In each post...
  • Include a link (and coupon code, if you need one)
  • Tell us what item the deal is for
  • Tell us the price of the deal. How good of a deal is it?
  • Is it online, in store, or both?
What's a deal?
  • A deep discount on a product. 10-50%, or even more!
  • An unexpected, substantial bargain. When something is on sale for less than you'd imagine
  • When you get something of value in addition to the actual purchase
When deals get old, moderators or curators will be able to strikeout expired deals. If you see an outdated deal, let us know.

Most importantly, if you see a deal, share it! If we all share the best deals, we're going to save a lot of money on gifts for others... and ourselves, too!

My own personal preference for deals tends to go into storage. I just love a really nice hard drive for storing media, likely left over from my old film school days. However, 2TB is a nice size drive and saving over 30% is an extra bonus.

Newegg Western Digital 2TB Mechanical Drive.

Amazon has a deal for an LG 27" gaming monitor as well, for anyone in the market for a nice display upgrade. Save 43% from standard retail.

Oh! I also picked up these Bluetooth wireless headphones a couple months back at full price, so if you're into this type of in ear headphone, it's a good price at roughly $40 USD.

I hate Black Friday with the passion of a thousand burning suns, but...
When a brand I love sets something out and I don't have to stand in line, or fight crowds for it, I'm all over it.

Origin PC currently has a "choose your own promo" feature going, where you can choose your OWN add-ons/upgrades in addition to free shipping and a few minor add-ons.
https://www.originpc.com/promotion/2019/black-friday-promo/

No, it's not below cost prices. No, it's not buy one get one. Just a great, solid deal that I wasn't expecting.

That ain't bad for a mid-level upgrade if you're kicking around an older rig. They've also got:

for $89.99, in-store only.

Nice price on that Nikon D3500 DSLR. A good starter DSLR for someone just getting into digital photography, as well as for someone that prefers DSLRs but doesn't need all the high end features of more expensive models. Also, I've found that compared to the prices of lenses for my Canon mirrorless SLR, Nikon lenses are often less expensive. Be a good stocking stuffer!

Storage and Tech Cleaning supplies are probably the easiest way for a "non" - Tech to buy for a techy. However, you can also share some of these comments on common social media sites and maybe they will get the hint. (In case any of my beloved family happens to read this )
Thanks Tom's Guide!

Looks like two amazing deals for 27" 1440p monitors. Need help from more knowledgeable minds than me to know which is better! THANKS

I'm in the market for a monitor. Ideally, a 27" 1440p with VRR (FreeSync + GSync-compatible preferred) and HDR. Luckily, LG seems to have come out with some decent IPS tech, this year. So, I was set to buy the LG 27GL850 (27" 10-bit (FRC) 144 Hz IPS monitor - price history). If this is appealing to you, consider this deal:

Amazon-exclusive version: LG 27GL83A-B
Current price: $379.99 (compare with the 27GL850's list price of $500)
Note: I can't confirm they're 100% identical. I thought the LG page said something about USB3 connectivity, but now I don't see it.

A more feature-rich alternative (possibly uses the same underlying LCD panel):

Current price: $549.99 - $80 promo (code: 9BFPC58) = $469.99
List price: $599.99

If you want to save a bit of $ in exchange for giving up 10-bit support (which I'm not sure you can even use at 144 Hz), then check out the 8-bit version:

Current price: $399.99 - $30 rebate = $369.99
List price: $459.99

Another alternative, if you want full 10-bit and FreeSync2 support (while sacrificing G-Sync compatibility):

Current price: $399.99
List price: $449.99 (this is a lowered price - it was previously more)
Note: it's the only model in my list that's curved. Also, it's a VA panel, which has better contrast but worse colors than IPS. There's also an 8-bit version of this that you can find... I can't be bothered. Anyway, the reviews are a little mixed, which (along with no GSync-compatibility) gave me pause.

Finally, here's the reason I won't be buying any of those. Just as I was considering the Amazon-exclusive LG deal (above), I found this new model (the first review is just within the past month):

Current price: $649.99
List price: $649.99
Note: They claim it's the first HBR3 monitor, enabling it to support 165 Hz + 10-bit HDR simultaneously. It's also FreeSync (not FreeSync2) and G-Sync compatible (HDR). Yeah, it's not on sale. So, I'll wait.

Oh, and I found the FreeSync and GSync compatibility databases:

Note that Gigabyte's AD27QD and FI27Q-P are the only 27" QHD monitors listed by Nvidia as having HDR, no matter whether GSync, GSync-compatible, or GSync Ultimate. I assume this means they're the only monitors that enable HDR in conjunction with GSync features, since LG's 27GL850 is also listed as GSync-compatible and also supports HDR.
Also, is FreeSync2 dead? Hardly any monitors are supporting it - even ones claiming to be HDR.

Anyway, maybe some of that helps someone.
