Hi, I have this shared linux thing and I don't know if I should be concerned and I don't know how to get rid of it. Help appreciated!

Are you connected to a network (wired or WiFi)? If yes, then this simply may be another computer on the network (that may or may not have a file, folder or drive shared). I don't think it is anything you need to worry about.
