Okay so I need help. I've looked online on how to share my laptop that's connected wirelessly to WiFi to my desktop because it doesn't have WiFi card. Anyways I've looked, followed the exact steps and it says limited access on my desktop. I went on my laptop, went to network connections and clicked on local area connection, right clicked on it, clicked properties and went to sharing and ticked the box that says "allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection" because this is what I was told to do. Well I did it and on my desktop it still says limited access. Is there anything I didn't do or what? Please help

Do you not have an available PCIe slot in your desktop to install a WIFI network adapter? (Or maybe you just don't want to spend the money on a card). You could also consider an inexpensive USB wifi network adapter, although the range usually isn't as good as a card with antennas.

What I did for a desktop in a room with no ethernet jacks is to buy a WIFI range extender:

It has an ethernet port on the...
If your PC is connected to your laptop via ethernet cable then in your laptop go to your Network and Sharing Center and highlight both LAN and WiFi. Once highlighted right click one of them and in the drop down menu select "Bridge connection", wait for a minute or 2.

Now you should be able have internet access with your PC

Sorry I forgot to mention that you will need to right click on your Wireless network

select properties and go to the Sharing tab and tick "Allow other network users to connect through the computer's internet connection"

Once you have done that, now you can bridge the connection

You will now have internet access for your PC via your laptop!

When ever I click "allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection" It gives me an error saying "To create a network bridge you must select at least two lab high speed internet connections that are not being used by internet connection sharing

It has an ethernet port on the bottom that you can connect your desktop to. Another benefit is that it extends the range of your WIFI throughout the house for smartphones, tablets, etc.

Edit: Here is another link with multiple images so you can see the ethernet port on the bottom:
