Hey guys
ive got a problem right now where i dont have enough sata ports on my board for a [strike]disk[/strike] disc drive as i only have 2 sata ports and both are used by hard drives. im getting gta v, fallout 4 and elder scrolls which use installer [strike]disks[/strike] discs because [strike]F*ck[/strike] downloading 80gb games.

Now i just had a thought that if i took the WD black with my steam library on and put it in my second computer and installed them on that and then put the drive back in my main pc and verify my steam library.

a simpler solution may be more SATA ports. example only not an endorsement.
for PCIe 1x/16x will fit in both the long and short slots depending on what is available

for PCI 32-bit

That may work if steam is installed on 2nd PC - you will have to change the installation location to the new drive and be sure that you import the foreign disk in disk management or windows may not even mount the drive.

I would go with the SATA cards, there are also external drive trays like so, again not an endorsement.

the point being there are ways to get more drives if you want them

i think what im gonna do is move my steam installation location (found here:https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7418-YUBN-8129) and to the drive with my os on so I can unplug the games drive and plug in my optical drive and install my games to the steam installation folder then unplug the optical drive plug the WD Black games drive back in and then cut the steam installation back to the correct drive. ive done it before I just forgot about it.
