Sharing USB between MOBOs?

i have a spare MOBO and it got power,i was wondering if theres a way to share things like USB ports and PCI ports by connecting it to my running PC via ethernet, ive run a cable between them and both ethernets blink green as they recognize that they are being accessed but my booted PC doesnt do anything, in network and sharing center it recognizes it as a LAN connection and says no internet connection. Is this possible, what am i missing?

A spare motherboard without CPU and RAM is just useless.
