I will get the Asrock Z97 Extreme 4 (ATX Mobo ) and it has 10 mobo standoff holes and i wanted to get the Sharkoon BD28 (ATX case) case cos its cheap and looks cool but it only has 8 standoffs but it has 10 standoff holes in the case but there arent any standoff screws so is it okay if i install the z97 extreme 4 in that case with out the other 2 standoffs for the mobo ?

thanks !

Usually cases come with spare standoff screws. You can do it, but I am slightly concerned that the board might warp due to improper anchoring. Probably won't though. Go ahead and give it a try, even in my $64 Raidmax case I got a TON of extra screws/standoffs.

well i can go out and buy some extra standoffs tho but it comes in a 20x pack xD

whats anchoring ? forgot to ask that

Like anchoring the board to the case. The standoffs are anchoring points.

oh ok thx but do u think it will work when i buy some extra standoffs ? will there be any difference between the ones i buy and the ones that came in the case ? (ill buy gold ones like the ones in the case)

Standoffs are pretty much all the same, aside from color.
