Question Sharkoon WPM 700w Bronze Quality?

Okay, I know this is not the best psu out there, in fact I could barely find a single review out there, but is this psu okay for use? I could upgrade it for $70 USD to a corsair or seasonic psu (which the seller did not tell me the model of), should I do it or is it okay to stick with the sharkoon wpm?

It's garbage. Get rid of it.

If you can upgrade to a Corsair or Seasonic of equivalent power output rating, for just $70, then do it.

Someplace around this forum is a listing of PSUs, and Sharkoon is on Tier 5....definitely in the junk category, but there are a sprinkling of reviews and evaluations on the I'net that essentially agree on that point. (Never trust just one source.)

For the time being, you can't go wrong with a Seasonic PSU in the higher power category; however, companies rise to prominence, then they subside. Sometimes it takes a sale, or a key leader leaves the firm, then things go downhill slowly.

So, always critically assess anything you are considering for a build, and remember that the leader today will be supplanted by somebody else tomorrow.
