Sharp tv stuck on color test

My brother has a 3 month old sharp LC-40CFG6021K and it seems to be stuck on a color test mode. You plug it in and it will slowly flash black, white, RGB and cycle through again. I have searched for a way to turn it off but nothing has worked. Does anybody here know how to fix this?

Most fixes I found use hardware buttons on the set but this on has none except a joystick on the back.

Thanks for that. He's currently moving house so it may take a while but ill get him to give it a go. Will let you know if it works.

I'm guessing not. Mine's doing the same thing, and none of the answers on that link seem relevant. The model doesn't have any buttons on the tv itself, aside from a sort of square joystick on the back. Seems totally unresponsive to the remote.

If it’s three months old return it and get a new one if it’s under warranty
