shift is not working now

if the shift key is not working ,then what to do?
is their any short cut for the shift key.

I would try to boot the system into safe mode and see if the key works there. if it does not then most likely you key has failed. often it can be a mechanical failure that is easy to fix by using a can of compressed air to clean out the crude from under the key.
Sometimes you have to actually pop off the key to clean off something.

you can also check to see if the other key works. if the key works while in safe mode then I would look for a incorrect keyboard mapping in windows.

- also assume that you have the correct keyboard map selected for you keyboard
you can also look at remapping software, just pop off the broken key and move it to a unused key on your keyboard and use software to remap it. kind of a pain if you touch type but it can work in a pinch
