I am not sure where this thread belongs, but...

I recently built a PC and I am going to be moving overseas soon. You can see my specs in my signature. I am wondering what's the safest way to pack the tower so when I ship it to my new address, it doesn't arrive dead or broken.

I was thinking of taking out the HD, the cpu fan and the graphics card and boxing those separately. I would leave in the mobo, the cdrom which is screwed in, the cpu and the psu. Then maybe I would use the original box my tower came in, stick some inflated plastic padding inside the tower for safe measure, and ship that. The rest I would use their original packaging as well and ship those.

This is the first thing that came to my mind, but maybe there are better ways.

Any and all replies are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

If you have all of the original packaging still, which you should, I would take everything apart and put it back in its original packaging. Its protected best in its own original package, not in some box with packing peanuts
