Hey everyone, I'm a bit new here and I couldn't tackle this one on my own, I just recently picked up some parts off my friend's pc build for a good deal so I could build a better system for myself, all of the components I received were working fine just a few days ago;
the specs are
cpu: athlon x4 860k, stock cooler
motherboard: gigabyte ga-f2a68hm-h
gpu: zotac gtx 750ti 2gb
ram: 1 x 8 gb g skill ripjaws 1866
an old un wiped 1tb hard drive from my old build
evga 600w power supply, brand new

The issue I am having is that when I try to turn the system on, the fans take a couple seconds to rev up to a fast speed, then I get one short beep, the fans slow for a second then rev again, and i get another short beep, this code isn't noted on the gigabyte website and I have no clue what is wrong, and I don't get any display on my monitor, which i have tested. I have reset the cmos several times, even trying a new battery, I tested the ram on a different system, nothing wrong there, the gpu is working just fine, tested that as well, and yes, I have checked and made sure everything is plugged in properly, however, when I first got the system I attempted to power it with an old cheap power supply out of a gateway desktop, could that have maybe killed the motherboard? any help would be greatly appreciated!

Solution
I found the solution, apparently this is a post code saying the system booted fine, it just repeats itself, and I tried a different gpu with the system and got a display, turns out the hdmi port on my 750ti is just bad and I need to use a dvi port instead! what a relief!

odd, I'm not very knowledgeable about amd stuff, and I looked into what you said to make sure I didn't get screwed over, as I had received all of this as a bundle from him as a working system, I was told it was an fx 4300 but I guess he had no clue lmao, i looked at the heat spreader on the cpu after cleaning it and turns out its actually an athlon x4 860k, that's a relief! thanks for notifying me about that mistake
