Hi, my rig is:
Gigabyte FXA 990 UD3
AMD FX8350
2x4GB HyperX Fury
Toshiba HDD 2TB
HD 7770 Graphics card
Corsair CX600

So my PC had been working the day before and this morning all of a sudden it wouldn't come on. So I tested the PSU (SC the green and black cables) and it came on just fine, also the voltage output is right.

When I tried to turn it on again, it did (only I didn't realize I forgot to plug one cable (the CPU 8 pin connector coming from the PSU)) and so I thought it was fixed but nothing showed on the screen, then I realized about this and plugged the cable back in and boom, al the fans and leds shut down in that moment.

Any ideas what this might mean?

Ok I found the answer somewhere else, I'll just leave this here just in case it happens to someone else.
The 8 pin connector must have had something to do with the power button on my case. Turns out it was stuck in so my pc kept rebooting in a cycle and turning off permanently.
I wired the reboot button to the power button input and now I'm using it to power on.
Case solved.

The PC was not coming on anyways, I need to know why it was not coming on in the first place and why it does come on while this pin is not connected. My MoBo is working fine.

If it's not posting how do you know the motherboard is working? Just because it appears to power up/has some sign of life doesn't mean it's full functional. If something wasn't broke before there is a good chance something is now.

I like working with AMD processors and have several PCs and tried the MoBo, it works fine. However, when I put it back into the other case, it doesnt come on. Fans come on while the CPU 8 pin connector is unplugged, but if it's plugged, then it goes on for 1 second and then dies.

What I'm asking here for is some tests that I can run to rule out what's wrong, I don't know how to proceed.
