Short freeze during certain actions

Games freeze for about 1-2 seconds when certain actions occur. These actions range from animations to physics(I think), even to sound. So if a certain sound (This often happens during voiced segments) plays for example, my game will freeze for a second. When this action is repeated, the freeze will not occur. So if the same sound/animation/whatever is played again, it doesn't freeze anymore. I have checked Temperatures and Cpu/Ram/HDD usage, nothing out of the ordinary. I use an SSD and a HDD. My drivers are up to date. This happens in modern 3D games and 10 year old 2D games. What could this be?

I checked the settings, and it says that it turns off the HDD after 20 minutes of inactivity. These freezes can happen in intervals of 2 minutes, so I don't think it makes sense. I did find out that the HDD is definetely at fault, however. I moved files to my SSD and tried them there, no problems.
