Hi everyone

I've been OC'ing my i7-4790K and got good results. However, there was one annoyance where by powering on my computer (when disconnected from the main for a five minutes or mor), it powers up for a split second, shuts off for another two seconds and then finally boots up fine. I cleared the BIOS settings started diagnosing through each OC setting and pointed the finger straight to the 100 to 105 BCLK increase.

Did you normally remove it from the mains (before OC?)

Could be the capacitors or something like it in the PSU and it sounds normal. Mine does it it too (same CPU).

Are you using S5 (System Power State)?

Thanks for your reply. In regard to your questions my PC is powered off every night from an switch on the extension socket. As for S5 system power state I take it that's for putting the computer to sleep?

P.S my motherboard is the Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark 2.

Also I'm sorry I voted your answer down. I was using my mobile phone browser and the app was being a bit unresponsive therefore accidentally pressed the wrong button.
