Should I avoid 120/140 mm fans if possible?

I have a Thermaltake Element G case from 4 years ago with these fan sizes: 230 mm, 200 mm, 200 mm, 140mm
And I have a Thermaltake Toughpower 850W PSU from about 9 years ago with a 140 mm fan

I am thinking about updating to newer equipment: a Fractal Design R5 with 140 mm fans
And a PSU (Corsair AX760) with 120 mm fan

But isn't this a dumb move? The smaller fans will be noisy right?

What should I get instead? Thanks.

There are much better PSUs for the money, mind you they all have 120 mm fans. But if you want a silent computer, the Define r5/r4 will be a great option. I also believe it has a 140 on the back, reducing some of the noise.
