[SOLVED] Should I be afraid to play New World? - ASUS RTX 3080TI Strix

I've been playing new world since its release on an ASUS GTX1080 Strix and thouroghly enjoying the game...
Today I purchased and installed an ASUS RTX3080 TI Strix and all of a sudden i'm afraid to even launch new world.
Has anyone seen anything credible recently? Was the issue fixed by amazon?

Previously, these issues seemed predominantly limited to Nvidia’s best graphics card, the RTX 3090, with a large portion of the blame directed towards soldering issues on EVGA branded cards. I feel like it affects the entire RTX 30 series GPUs...
There's just something that's cursed about that game with RTX 30 series GPUs.
I'd try it on my other rig instead with a 1060, or even some other weak GPU that can run it.
Better safe than sorry.
